Subject areas group Catalog assets by business domain. They are distinct from technical schemas: a subject area is an org concept (for example Customer or Finance), not a database namespace.

Open Subject areas

  1. Select Know → More → Subject areas.
Page title: Subject areas. Description: Organize catalog assets by business domain. Columns include Subject area, status, and Updated. Use Search… to filter. Empty list: No subject areas yet — Create a subject area to group catalog assets by domain.

Create a subject area

  1. Click New subject area.
  2. Enter name and description as required by the form.
  3. Click Create.
Assign assets to subject areas from the subject-area detail or Catalog workflows the product exposes for that area.
