# Enforcements

> Bind governance policies to Catalog assets or scopes so rules apply at runtime.

**Enforcements** attach a policy to a specific asset or scope so the rule actually applies. Policies alone document intent; an enforcement is the binding.

## Open Enforcements

1. Select **Know → More → Enforcements**.

Page title: **Enforcements**. Description: *Bind policies to assets or scopes.*

Use **Search…** to filter by name or description. Empty list: **No enforcements yet** — *Bind a policy to assets so governance rules apply at runtime.*

## Create an enforcement

1. Click **New enforcement**.
2. Choose the policy and target scope or asset as required by the form.
3. Click **Create**.
